Washrooms at Charter School

Faced with ventilation issues, Charter School sought to refurbish their washroom facilities. Identifying a need for facilities that offered increased open space and improved visibility from the school corridors, Interfix were consulted and brought in to resolve the above.

The previous condition of the washroom did not allow for enough air to sufficiently pass through, which was the root cause of ventilation issues. As part of the washroom renovation, Internal walls were removed, which was accompanied by full-height solid grade laminate cubicles, to ensure washroom privacy was upheld.

Non-slip vinyl flooring would ensure that student safety remained a priority, preventing the likelihood of accidents. The 72m2 washrooms were finished with WC ducting, Corian wash troughs, hand dryers, and soap dispensers, and a new suspended ceiling.

Delivered within the school holidays, the project took 6 weeks to complete, ensuring students returned with a renovated washroom for the new academic year. Due to the nature of how a school operates, Interfix understood that washroom usage would incur high volumes of users at one time. These washrooms provided a safer environment for pupils, as well as offering more space, at break times for washroom usage.
