Interfix proved its reputation as a leader in the washroom refurbishment by providing a London-based global advertising agency with a stunning set of new and improved hygiene facilities.

Two front of house washrooms at Bartle Bogle Hegarty in Soho required a complete overhaul, having acquired a ‘tired’ appearance over time which led to concerns the areas were reflecting badly on the company. Smart, modern and easy-to-maintain facilities were required, with Interfix taking care of every stage of the refurbishment – from design to product specification, quantity, delivery and installation.

The six-week project involved a number of challenges based around the washrooms’ location. Interfix’s skilled installers were required to deliver the project whilst working in a busy office environment, situated near the firm’s popular in-house café. It meant there was minimal storage space for materials - an issue that was comfortably overcome by the experienced on-site teams.

To upgrade the washrooms and introduce a more attractive and pleasant environment, each 68m2 area was fitted with a porcelain tiled floor. Hygienic wall cladding and a new suspended ceiling was also installed.

With energy-efficiency high on the client’s refurbishment agenda, Interfix supplied Alavo – state-of-the-art, touch-free, sensor-controlled hand wash technology, which not only saves water and fuel costs, the stylish, minimalist fitting takes up less space than traditional hand wash facilities. A Corian washtrough was fitted below the Alavo to reduce water-to-floor spillages and enhance the area’s modern aesthetic. Sensor-controlled urinal and WC flushing, and PIR-controlled lighting provided additional water and energy-saving features.
